1. Please can you tell me about CILT?
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), United Kingdom is the global leading professional body for all areas of the logistics, transport and supply chain industry. CILT has its headquarters in the United Kingdom and Branches/Territories in over Thirty four (34) countries. The areas of focus of the Institute are the production of highly skilled manpower for the industry; monitoring and regulating professional practice; advocating for professional excellence across national and international divide; collaborating with governments, institutions and the private sector organisations towards meeting the global agenda on efficient supply chain. It is on the above standpoint that CILT derived her global slogan: STRONGER TOGETHER.
2. Can you please tell me more about the CILT professional courses?
The courses are at four levels: Introductory Certificate, International Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma. We currently run the International Diploma and International Advanced Diploma at the Centre.
3. With my qualification (s) what stage can I register for?
For International Diploma Entry Requirements: Holders of International Certificate in Logistics and Transport; Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in other fields; National Diploma in Logistics and Transport and other related fields with not less than five (5) years relevant work experience are eligible to apply. Programme duration: (9 – 12) months
For International Advanced Diploma Entry Requirements: Holders of International Diploma in logistics and transport; Professional Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain or HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Transport/Supply Chain and any other relevant qualifications obtained from recognized professional bodies. Programme duration: (9 – 12) months.
4. Where are you located in Lagos?
You can locate us at No 6A, Adewale Crescent. Off Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Charity Area (LSDPC Estate), Oshodi Lagos Nigeria.
5. What is the duration of the course?
Each course takes between 9 to 12 months.

9. How do I register for the course?
Obtain the admission form from the Centre or download same from our website
Complete the form as appropriate, have reputable individuals endorse the reference form, attach credentials and current CV, and submit to the Centre
The Centre will register you for the appropriate examination.
10. Is this certificate recognized by public and private sector organisations?
It is recognized by both government and private organisations.
11. How many and what are the subject combination at the Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels?
We have a total of Six (6) Modules at the Diploma level and the courses are Management in Logistics and Transport, Supply Chain Management, Transport Planning, Inventory and Warehousing, Sourcing and Procurement.
We have a total of Four (4) Modules at the Advanced Diploma level and the courses are Strategic Contexts, Leadership and Strategic Management, Strategic Network Planning, Delivering Strategic Performance, and a Project.
12. Do you offer internship?
Yes we do, especially for those without industry experience. We also do industry visit for all categories of students
13. Do you offer consultation services?
Yes we do, particularly in areas that promote operational efficiencies, process re-engineering, policy development, transport master plan and operating manual development.
14. Are there job opportunities in the Logistics and transport Industry?
Certainly there are job opportunities in the Logistics and Transport Industry at both public and private sectors
15. I am a business man; any networking opportunities during the programme and after the programme?
Yes there are networking opportunities, during and after the programme
16. Will I get promoted at my work place after obtaining the CILT certificate?
Yes, but depends on the need of the organisation, vacancy available and policy of the organisation
17. Is your centre accredited by the CILT?
We are registered by CILT to run its professional courses. However you can visit ciltnigeria.org to confirm the list of accredited centres.
18. Are there any possibilities of failing this course?
Yes, but all hardworking students have never failed; you can be one of the hardworking students. Our students’ performance is getting better at each successive examination.
19. Is this program online?
It is both online and offline
20. Can I use this certificate when I travel outside Nigeria?
Yes you can. CILT certificate is recognized worldwide.
21. Who issues this certificate?
CILT Headquarters, United Kingdom.
22. Will I acquire skills after I am done with the programme?
Yes you will acquire the required knowledge and skills to effectively and efficiently manage and operate in your line of duties.
23. Can you help me get a job?
We recommend our students to organisations whenever opportunity arises. We are about to create a register for people with different skills and expertise.
24. I am over 60 years of age can I still register for your program?
Yes you can.
25. I want to become a member, please what are the procedures?
Obtain the membership form from our Centre or at the CILT offices nation-wide, or download the form
Complete the form, attach credentials and CV, then submit to our Centre or directly at the CILT office. Your upgrade to high level will be determined after your application has been assessed by the Membership Committee of the Institute.
26. Do you offer short training programmes?
Yes, we do in all areas of the logistics, transport, supply chain and human resource management.
27. Is there any difference between CILT International and CILT, UK?
No there are no differences at all.
28. After my IDILT examination can I register immediately for the Advanced Diploma?
You have to pass the entire course at the diploma level before you can register for the advanced diploma level.
